Õismäe vet clinic was established in 1997 by veterinary doctor Olga Syatkovskaya. At that time unfortunately working conditions were not good enough – basement room, not enough space and equipment... But we had a great will to develop, learn and expand.
Finally in 2004 we got a chance to move to another office. We were preparing ourselfs for moving thoroughly – all our spare time we spent on repairing and replanning of future working spaces, choosing construction materials etc.
All of us were developing our future vet center with big care and enthusiasm.
On 24 December 2004 our Haabersty ZooVetCenter oficially opened. We are wery greatful to everyone who came that day to support us and celebrate.
For vet clinic we purchased modern equipment – our surgery room is very well equiped: electrical surgical table, pulse oximeter, intubation narcosis device, modern surgery lamp and electrocauter (used for closed surgery, tumors removal, cauterization, etc.). For animal examination and to diagnose we have very good laboratory equipent with microscope, express urine test device, different tests for diagnosis confirmation, equipment of Idexx Laboratories Inc . - LaserCyte и VetTest 8008.
The latest equipment for blood analysis - Laser Cyte.
At the moment we are the only owners of such high class equipment not just in Estonia but in all Baltic region.
Laser Cyte allows us to see the blood picture using laser cytometry. It allows us to see the most complete and exact cellular structure of blood in 5 minutes. Testing defines 24 indexes.
To determine biochemical blood indexes we have also purchased equipment VetTest 8008 (Idexx Laboratories INC. USA). It allows us to define up to 20 biochemical serum indexes on spot (ALB, ALKP, ALT(SGPT), AMYL, Ca2+, CHOL, CR, CREA, GGT, GLU, LDH, LIPA, Mg2+, NH3, PHOS, TBIL, TP, TRIG, UREA/BUN).
Use of such equipment in our practice allows us to determine animal’s condition very fast and precise.
