- Vaccination is done to animals in healthy conditions only. Also helminthic treatment is required (5-10 days in advance)
- 0- vaccination for a puppy can be done at the age of 6 weeks, so called “puppy vaccine”. This vaccination protects puppy from distemper and parvovirus only for two weeks. The next vaccination is required two weeks after.
- 1 st vaccination for a puppy or a kitten can be done at the age of 8 weeks
- Puppies are vaccinated against distemper, parvovirus and hepatitis
- Kittens are vaccinated against panleucopenia, herpes (FHV) and FCV
- 2 nd vaccination (revaccination) is required after 3-4 weeks after 1 st vaccination (at the age of 11-12 weeks).
- Puppies are vaccinated against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis +/- leptospirosis and rabies
- Kittens are vaccinated against panleucopenia, herpes, FCV and rabies
- After that repeat vaccinations annually 10-14 days before expiry of previous vaccine (for example, if the animal was vaccinated on 22.11.2004, revaccination is required between the 08-12.11.2005)
- NB! Annual vaccination against rabies is obligatory in Estonia. Veterinary doctors have the right to refuse consultation with unvaccinated animals.
