The finding of adult form Spirometra erinacei from the cat in Estonia

The first case of spirometrosis caused by Spirometra erinacei (Rudolphi, 1819) in stray cat in Estonia has been presented. The disease was accompanied by diarrhea, decrease of RDW and lymphocytosis. The diagno6 sis has been established after shedding of a strobila in feces. Experimental treatment by niclosamide has been applied.
